about

Watch out for Beanfield return with their yet unheard addition to this year’s musical summer slam: “Birds & Bees”! With this exclusive dancefloor-tailored instrumental Beanfield are pushing things forward from the “Seek” album, giving all the dancefloor birds the right portion of Detroit-honey to get hot on the heels.

Still coming from their latest album “Seek” are “Close To You” and “Tides” on the B-Side of this EP. Not limited to one genre, but open to various musical sources, “Seek” is an album that puts its view less on the dancefloor but explores the facets of musical deepness and soul. The music sounds eclectic, but vibrates as one. Some renowned remixers like Carl Craig or Chateau Flight have already proven what can be done when the digital kisses the analogue. But how do you follow up the previous remixes of „Tides“ and „Close To You“? Exactly, with two more remixes of „Tides“ and „Close To You“! Equally brilliant, equally precious.

The first to lay their perfectionist hands on a remix of “Close To You” (on this EP, that is) are Funkstörung. Having mostly ‘dis-connected’ from the industrial world of strict instrumentals but still far from losing their electronic charms, this remix is in line with Funkstörung’s newest works: a combination of sophisticated breaks and soulful vocals.

Frankfurt-based Soulpatrol are the next ones to give “Tides” a new look. Or sound. Having spread their DJ skills among the globe’s metropolitans, the Soulpatrol sound has now come to a temporary halt in Munich with their rendition of this Beanfield track. This chilled organic mix really supports the versatility of singer Bajka who already worked with Beanfield on their club hit “Season” – so just let go and wallow in the sea of emotion!
